Each week for four weeks, the judges will pick five photos from Crestock’s library. Contestants must then choose one or more of those five photos and create something - anything - that will appeal to the judges. Think you have what it takes to win one of the prizes? Sign up, download the contest images for Week 1, fire up Photoshop and get your creativity going.

If you haven’t heard of Crestock before, it is a Norway-based stock photo site where you can both buy and sell images. I’ve spent some time browsing their photo library and I from what I’ve seen the level of quality is really high. Next time I need a stock image I’ll make sure to check what they have.

    Neat contest. It seems rather unprofessional and inappropriate, though, for a mainstream photo vendor to describe its contest prizes as a “designer’s wet dream”.

    One of the rules doesn’t include “do not bribe judges for votes”, do they? :)

    By the way, do people who enter “have to” be a Photoshop user? Why don’t I use Microsoft Paint and get away with it? Heh.

    Well, the only thing that I don’t like with crestock is the revenue split 80-20 in their favour :-(

    Why not www.foto.no(se) and www.PhotoSight.org (se,no,dk) give away macs :-)

    I don’t personally post anything to Stylegala. The Stylegala admin subscribes to my feed and chooses which of my posts become news there.

    Martin: I’m not using Photoshop for my entry on account of being too cheap to buy it thus far. Besides, I’m how well a Gimp-created entry does :)
