Win a MacPro and two 30 inch Cinema HD Displays
Bring out the artist in yourself and take the chance to win a MacPro with Dual 30” Cinema HD Displays, a MacBook Pro, a MacBook, or an iPod. Really amazing prices, and I’d consider giving it a try myself if I hadn’t been asked to be one of the judges in Crestock.com’s Photoshop Contest 2006.
Each week for four weeks, the judges will pick five photos from Crestock’s library. Contestants must then choose one or more of those five photos and create something - anything - that will appeal to the judges. Think you have what it takes to win one of the prizes? Sign up, download the contest images for Week 1, fire up Photoshop and get your creativity going.
If you haven’t heard of Crestock before, it is a Norway-based stock photo site where you can both buy and sell images. I’ve spent some time browsing their photo library and I from what I’ve seen the level of quality is really high. Next time I need a stock image I’ll make sure to check what they have.

If my Photoshop skills weren’t so lame… Oh, well. I pay my bills as a PHP developer so that’s kinda expected, eh? Wish you guys good luck and I’ll be looking forward to the big winner.
Cheers from Brasil!
Great contest… now if only I had any artistic ability.
Know of anything similar for coders?
Neat contest. It seems rather unprofessional and inappropriate, though, for a mainstream photo vendor to describe its contest prizes as a “designer’s wet dream”.
I love competitions!
One of the rules doesn’t include “do not bribe judges for votes”, do they? :)
By the way, do people who enter “have to” be a Photoshop user? Why don’t I use Microsoft Paint and get away with it? Heh.
Hi [deleted]… do you really have to repeat every [deleted] post in stylegala??? i swear, on day i’m going to come up to sweeden and [deleted] in your ricies, [deleted]
Wow, looks like someone here did not read the last post in your blog ;) Now I get what that one was for.
Well, the only thing that I don’t like with crestock is the revenue split 80-20 in their favour :-(
Why not www.foto.no(se) and www.PhotoSight.org (se,no,dk) give away macs :-)
siftee: I edited your post slightly instead of deleting it.
I don’t personally post anything to Stylegala. The Stylegala admin subscribes to my feed and chooses which of my posts become news there.
Andyman3000: Or somebody did read it… maybe it’s found its way onto digg :-P.
Sergey: Hmm. I didn’t know they kept that much of the revenue.
Sorry Rodger, my mistake. I’ll leave a coment on stylegala
Martin: I’m not using Photoshop for my entry on account of being too cheap to buy it thus far. Besides, I’m how well a Gimp-created entry does :)
