PayPal needs JavaScript help
If you consider yourself a JavaScript expert and would like to take on a challenge, I think you should take a look at PayPal Seeks JavaScript Expert. Steve Ganz, who works at PayPal, contacted me and describes what they need as Someone to come in and build a scalable, unobtrusive JavaScript architecture.
He also wants to make sure anyone applying for the job knows what to expect:
I’m not going to tell you this is going to be easy. Quite the contrary. This promises to be one of the most challenging, if not the most challenging experiences of one’s career.
Experienced DOM scripter? Looking for a change? Not afraid of challenges? Go for it.
It’s cool that responsible, modern web professionals are increasingly in demand, at least over in the US. I don’t see it to the same extent over here yet, but maybe in a couple of years.
