9rules round 3 submissions
On November 14, 2005, the third round of submissions for English language sites to the 9rules Network will open. Got a great site? Come join the network! Discussion is open in Time for Round 3.
Being a member of the 9rules Network has helped me find some sites with great content that I probably would not have come across otherwise. The downside is that there is so much interesting content in the network that you can spend hours reading if you’re not careful.

Will they still make you do the funky handshake though? (Before you delete this - consider that I am joking when I say that bit about the handshake!)
Yes. I had to spend two weeks in a special 9rules training camp before I got the hang of that handshake thing.
And why would I delete your comment?
Because you deleted my light-hearted jest at 9Rules in a previous post before - so it seemed logical you'd do the same again. (It was when you'd only just been hand-picked - maybe you were a bit sensitive about it at the time).
I did? Hmm. I have no memory of that, and I can't find the comment in my mail archive. Are you sure about that?
I must have mistaken it for spam or flamebait then. Those are normally the only kinds of comments I delete. Either that or I was doing some maintenance work after drinking a few beers. Sorry about that!
Oh....that's good - cos for a moment there it looked like you couldn't take a joke about 9Rules' elite selection process being similar to a Masonic Cult! ...(and obviously you can)
9 Rules member, that'd be peach! Maybe next round if/when I've found an interesting direction for my blog... ?
What? The handshake? Why am I always left out when you get to do the cool stuff?
I only got to wear the giant pig head and drink blood, while howling naked at the moon...
And was that a camcorder I heard buzzing in the background?
No way... I thought the reason I wasn't in the 9Rules was I only had nine site visitors every month! Now I'm hearing its the handshake thing?! Ha ha. Maybe I'm too geeky for my own good.
My fave 9Rules member was Sergio but he found love / lost love / refound love / got sober and stopped abusing people. Plus he moved out from his mother's so that would calm anyone down.
I guess it would be nice to be a member... maybe oneday I'll be allowed in the gang Roger?! I tried to get in The Ultimate Blogger competition - remember that one anyone? - but didn't get picked either.
Ah the glory of blogging :)
Interesting. I've been thinking about whether I want to join, and also whether anyone thinks my content is good enough.
When you joined, did they look deep within your soul and assign you a number based on the order in which you joined? Do you get invited to secret events like beer busts, beer blasts, keggers, steinhoists, AA meetings and beer nights?
Do they take any newbie bloggers, I wonder, or does your site have to be chock-full of archives?
Just submit your site if you want to join, and who knows :-). I am not in any way involved in choosing which sites are accepted.
Lachlan: No secret events yet. But that could be because I (and Robert) am so far away from most of the other members.
Mani: If your content rocks I believe you have a chance even if you haven't been blogging for long.
But for your site I wouldn't come across those sites.
