Want to work with me?

At my day job at NetRelations we’re looking for a web developer/designer to work alongside me. Visit Webbutvecklare / gränssnittsprogrammerare sökes for full details and info on where to send your application – do not apply here ;-).

Intimate knowledge of web standards and accessibility is obviously a must. Having an eye for graphic design is excellent and back-end programming skills are a definite plus. You should also have a taste for good coffe and be a jazz fan.

Presumably living in Sweden and being able to speak Swedish are also requirements?

2. October 18, 2005 by Roger Johansson

Stuart: Yes. While it isn't impossible to work across borders and languages, at this point we're looking for someone who can work in our office.

3. October 18, 2005 by Teddy

Ni är ett par månader för tidigt ute... :/

4. October 18, 2005 by Mats Lindblad

I want a new job, but it's too far to commute. Sorry dude. :-/

Otherwise I'd jump at the opportunity to work with you guys and/or girls (sheep?).

5. October 18, 2005 by Robert Wellock

Sounds tempting I have an eye for graphics but not a hand for them and yes coffee is good.

6. October 18, 2005 by Kristin K. Wangen

It's very tempting, but for me is 'too late'

7. October 18, 2005 by Robert Nyman

Sorry, you lost me on the jazz part. ;-)

8. October 18, 2005 by Steve Williams

Sounds a great place to work - which monkey are you Roger? ;o)

And how come we don't get the monkeys in the english version?!

9. October 18, 2005 by Kristian Nilsson

I sent my application this morning. :)

10. October 18, 2005 by Tor Bollingmo

I speak norwegian/swedish, drink caffe frappe AND listen to Bo Kaspers. But I'm too young :-)

11. October 18, 2005 by Martin Smales

Before I attempt to do an application I must consider building a stargate to get me to Sweden in one second, and and an extremely smart machine translator between English and Swede. Give me 40 years to come up with all this...

12. October 18, 2005 by Andy Knight

If NetRelations were to open up a branch office in the south -- say in Alabama -- then I'd definitely be tempted.

13. October 19, 2005 by Sean Fraser

H.P. Lovecraft and Hellboy in the same box! Are Holidays in Hamburg offered?

14. October 19, 2005 by Robert Nyman

By the way, liking jazz and being a standardista: isn't that a little too much elitism? ;-)

15. October 19, 2005 by Maarten

I love webstandards and accessibility, i know my Swedish, i'm thinking of moving to Sweden again. I just love jazz, saw an excellent concert last friday of Nils Petter Molvær... But you lost me on the coffee. Better luck next time! ;-)

16. October 19, 2005 by Roger Johansson

Steve: Haha, I'm the monkey hiding in the background ;-p. The English version still needs a bit of work.

Kristian: Cool.

Sean: Nope, no Hamburg trips.

Robert: Yeah, that and being a coffee snob. We're all elitists here ;-).

17. October 19, 2005 by Andreas Ong Wannelind

It would be great working with you Roger. I sent my application yesterday. In case of a meeting would you like to bring the coffee?

18. October 19, 2005 by Jens Meiert

No, our music taste is incompatible, Roger ;)

19. October 19, 2005 by Anton Andreasson

Sent mine last night. (Hope you didn't mind the humorous tone of it - I can be a very serious young man, too, promise, I can)

20. October 24, 2005 by Christopher Papastefanou

I too, have now officially applied for the position :-)

"have a taste for good coffee and be a jazz fan"? How about "have a taste for good jazz and be a coffee fan."? ;-)

21. October 24, 2005 by Roger Johansson

Wow, I'm a little surprised by the amount of applications we've received. We're looking through them and will contact everybody in the next few days. Or maybe it will take a week.
