Who’s There? - an ebook about blogs

Seth Godin’s ebook about blogging, Who’s There?, is currently available as a free download.

In the book, Seth takes a close look at blogs and how blogging has changed and will continue to change the online world. He identifies three kinds of blogs: Cat blogs, Boss blogs, and Viral blogs. The book’s focus is on Viral blogs - blogs whose goal is to spread ideas.

An interesting - and pretty quick - read that I found worth the bandwidth and time.

I'm downloading it and I haven't read Seth's ebook yet, but I wonder what a Cat Blog would be like... :-)

Cat's are too lazy, so the blog wouldn't have anything on it - that or it'd be a jumbled load of letters where the cat decided to take a nap on the keyboard ;-)

From the book:

A cat blog is about your cat and your dating travails and your boss and whatever you feel like sharing in your public diary.

So most blogs belong in this category, and that includes some of the most popular ones (though why they are so popular I'll never understand).
