Tabular Weirdness

Eric Meyer has encountered some Tabular Weirdness while styling caption elements.

I too recently had problems with this, but was unable to find a fully satisfactory solution.

    It appears to me that you have a special relationship to tables… I’m reading here more often about them than on other blogs…

    After work, I secretly create site designs with intricately complex nested table layouts, spacer gifs, and DHTML drop-down menus. It makes me feel dirty, but i love it.
