Stop IE flicker
If you’ve ever encountered the annoying IE/Win flicker that often occurs when you mouse over a link that has a background image and IE’s cache is turned off, you’ll want to read Caching in IE. In the article, Dean Edwards describes a way of using server settings to prevent the annoying flicker that can occur in IE. I tried it on my Inverted Sliding Doors tabs, and it works. Super-duper. Now I need to find out how to do that with an MS IIS server.
Update: Milan Negovan has posted a tutorial, Stop Image Flicker With Cache-Control Extensions, which explains how to set up MS IIS to prevent IE image flicker.
