Plugins and valid XHTML
A problem with embedding Macromedia Flash or QuickTime movies in a web page is that for the sake of compatibility, you need to use <embed>, which is not valid XHTML. Some workarounds for this: Veerle’s How to get validated when using Flash, Hixie’s Embedding Flash without <embed>, Ross Angus’ Standards Compliant method to add Quicktime movies to pages, and Daniel Duris’ Valid Flash example at Ambience.sk.
