Website Organization
In Site Organization Standards, Shirley Kaiser reminds us of an old, but still very relevant, article on the directory structure of a website. In his 1998 article A Standard for Site Organization, Greg Knauss lists a selection of well-chosen and well-named root level directories that, if widely used, would help Internet users navigate sites and find information. Shirley also mentions Site Architecture Standards, in which Tony Stephens comments on the article.
