Liquid layout and web standards
As a suitable follow-up to the recent debates on liquid vs fixed layout, Russ Weakley of Max Design has published Liquid layouts the easy way, a nice step-by-step tutorial which shows that liquid layouts don’t have to be difficult to create. Whether you like liquid layouts or not, this article contains very useful information.
When you’re done with the liquid layout tutorial, make sure you also check out Lean and clean! Building a site with web standards, a presentation which explains why and how to use web standards. Very good stuff.

That's an excellent article. I've always been a fan of liquid layouts, and I've tried to stand up for them when they took a beating. I'll certainly link to that.
