Practices and Patterns
When you’re trying to come up with a good way of solving a design problem looking at how others have done is often very useful. While working on her Master’s thesis, Heidi P. Adkisson collected a lot of data on current design practices on the web. All that data is now available online at Web Design Practices.
A similar and impressive collection of examples is Martijn van Welie’s Web Design patterns, which has been around for some time.
