Coding with Web Standards
Here’s a list of good reads for anyone interested in learning why coding with web standards will make your life easier:
- Streamlining with Web Standards by Greg Penhaligon.
- Jeffrey Zeldman on Coding for Easier Redesigns by jeffrey Zeldman (obviously). The article is part of Macromedia’s newsletter, The Edge, which is built entirely in Flash. Call me boring if you wish, but I don’t consider that a good use of Flash. (For something that is, check out Behr’s Explore Color.)
- For a really good time (as in educating and entertaining), check out Why tables for layout is stupid. Bill Merikallio and Adam Pratt used this for a presentation at Seybold in September. The illustrations are very entertaining and really help getting the message out.
