Moving to Movabletype
Recently I’ve started looking at Movabletype. So far I’ve been hand-rolling my blog. It’s not that much work (thank you, AppleScript), but I want features like comments and search, so I need some kind of CMS. After taking a quick look at some of the alternatives I downloaded the latest MT and installed it on my OS X machine. Seems to work well so far.
When I had spent som time adapting a couple of the MT templates to the design of this site I needed to work on the archive URLs created by MT. By coincidence, Shirley E. Kaiser yesterday posted More on Friendly URLs, a very helpful article on how to make MT’s URLs look the way you want them to.
