More CSS designs
Yesterday i mentioned Hicksdesign as an example of a kind of layout that I personally am no big fan of, but many art directors seem to fancy. It’s mostly a matter of personal taste. I think it’s great that there are ways of achieving that kind of layout with valid markup, no tables, no frames and have some usability left (like being able to use a scroll wheel). I am so happy to not have to try to use somebody’s IE-only JavaScript widgets to scroll through a page crammed into a 100 pixel high area. (DHTML, remember?) Another example of the same layout is The Cape Town Flower show.
Another recent XHTML + CSS redesign is Inc.com. Dan Cederholm is the man behind the design. He has posted more info on the redesign process on his site.
