It’s a start

After spending a long time debating with myself whether I should put some time and energy into creating and maintaining a personal web site, I have finally decided to go ahead and do it. Yay!

Since it’s always easier to do things when you have a sense of purpose, I spent much of the time thinking about what this site should be about. Being a web developer (among other things), I’ve decided to devote it to web development, web standards, accessibility, usability, information architecture and similar things. Yes, I know there are plenty of sites out there already, but this isn’t a competition. The more (correct) info that’s available, the better for everybody I guess.

Most of the time I’ll probably be linking to stuff I read elsewhere. Occasionally I may even write something of my own. We’ll find out down the line.

Netscape DevEdge has launched Strategy Central, where the importance of web standards is explained by case studies, presentations and articles.
